Quality Process Manager, Laboratory & Production Services (LPS)
Remote, Europe | Up to 25% Travel

At Avantor, we help accelerate scientific breakthroughs by supporting customers across life sciences, healthcare, advanced technologies, and research. We're looking for a Quality Process Manager to lead quality auditing, process standardisation, KPI governance, and continuous improvement initiatives across our European Laboratory & Production Services (LPS) operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for a quality-focused professional who enjoys working across multiple customer sites, partnering with operational leaders, and driving improvements that enhance service delivery, operational performance, and customer satisfaction.

As Quality Process Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of quality process audits across our European customer portfolio. You will act as a subject matter expert for quality and process excellence, helping site leadership teams identify opportunities, drive standardisation, and implement sustainable improvements.

Working closely with Operational Leaders, the Business Analytics & Metrics (BAM) team, and customer-facing site teams, you'll ensure quality processes remain aligned with customer expectations, contractual obligations, and best-in-class industry standards.

What You'll Be Doing
Lead Quality Audits Across Europe
  • Manage the end-to-end audit lifecycle across Laboratory & Production Services sites.
  • Design, implement, and maintain quality process audits that support operational excellence.
  • Conduct audits to evaluate process effectiveness, compliance, and adherence to site-specific KPIs and SLAs.
  • Develop audit documentation, reporting standards, and quality validation processes.
  • Support the implementation and verification of Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
  • Facilitate audit reviews, discovery sessions, and improvement workshops with operational stakeholders.
Drive Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
  • Identify process inefficiencies and develop practical solutions that enhance customer service and operational performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce complexity, increase productivity, and improve consistency across sites.
  • Benchmark LPS services against best-in-class operational practices and identify opportunities for standardisation.
  • Partner with site leadership teams to develop and monitor corrective actions and improvement plans.
  • Establish robust feedback loops to ensure continuous learning and sustainable improvements.
Champion KPI & Audit Standardisation
  • Collaborate with the Business Analytics & Metrics (BAM) team to create consistent audit processes and KPI reporting frameworks.
  • Ensure service performance can be measured, benchmarked, and calibrated across the European and Global LPS network.
  • Validate audit findings and KPI data, ensuring accuracy and alignment to customer Scope of Work requirements.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through audit and performance analysis.
  • Drive enhancements to audit methodologies and reporting processes to ensure continued relevance and customer value.
Deliver Data-Driven Insights
  • Analyse operational and audit data to support process harmonisation and business improvement initiatives.
  • Translate complex data into meaningful recommendations for customers and leadership teams.
  • Track audit plans, project deliverables, and continuous improvement programmes to ensure successful execution.
  • Monitor service performance and measure the impact of implemented improvements.
  • Support initiatives focused on improving both operational efficiency and customer experience.
Support Strategic Growth Initiatives
  • Contribute to RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses.
  • Provide operational quality expertise during new customer implementations.
  • Support talent assessment and selection for large-scale LPS engagements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop innovative service solutions and future best practices.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Finance, Operations, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Experience within Quality Management, Process Improvement, Operational Excellence, Auditing, or Continuous Improvement environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, quality systems, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for process quality.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Willingness to travel across customer locations in Europe (up to 25%).
