Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Quality Manager for our Gurdon plywood site in Arkansas. The role focuses on creating strategies to optimize operations while maintaining an injury-free environment, in a batch manufacturing setting aligned with our PBM framework.

You will lead process improvements, oversee quality records, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce waste and ensure product quality. Strong data analytics and QMS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with data analytics and statistics in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• Experience implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Experience leading product trials and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze process performance and develop metrics to promote safety, production, quality, and yield improvements.
• Supervise and coordinate production efforts to improve environmental, health, safety, quality, production, and costs.
• Apply data analytics and structured problem-solving to optimize ongoing production.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering to implement production strategies.
• Identify gaps, prioritize opportunities, and outline execution plans.
• Manage product quality records (COAs, calibrations, process validations) per QMS.
• Serve as liaison with third-party auditors and ensure non-conforming products are addressed.
