Job summary

The program runs 12 weeks, with onsite work in a manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes practical experience, data-driven improvements, and presenting findings to managers and peers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze data.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across functions and levels of the organization.
• Ability to work onsite in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support projects to reduce waste, rework, and material losses.
• Collect, organize, and analyze data on waste and process performance.
• Identify trends by product, process step, shift, and other factors.
• Support root-cause investigations using 5 Why, Pareto analysis, and fishbone diagrams.
• Work with Operations and Quality to identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Support development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow up on improvement actions and track their effectiveness.
• Assist with documenting processes, findings, action plans, and results.
• Conduct observations on the manufacturing floor and communicate findings to the team.
• Support Quality and Food Safety initiatives assigned.
• Prepare summaries and presentations of project findings and improvement results.
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation.
