Job summary

Acutec Precision Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer - Process to serve as the primary customer contact for quality issues and to drive zero-defect planning throughout manufacturing.

You will address internal and customer quality issues, perform root-cause investigations, and implement corrective actions to meet customer requirements. The role requires collaboration with QE-Planning, audits, and cross-functional teams to improve process controls and SPC data interpretation.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least five years of related field experience.
• Six Sigma green belt training preferred.
• Strong communication with internal and external customers.
• Ability to perform root cause and corrective action analysis.
• Knowledge of statistical process control and data interpretation.
• Proficient with Unipoint, ERP and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate response to internal or customer rejections, including containment and root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions.
• Build and maintain relationships with customer quality contacts.
• Contribute to Zero-Defect planning for new and existing processes.
• Coordinate with customers on submission of manufacturing/inspection plans (PPAPs, AS13002, APQP).
• Interpret SPC data to influence the manufacturing process.
• Coordinate internal and external audits (product, process, system).
• Drive process improvements with teams (statistical analysis, lean).
