Triple Cities Metal Finishing is seeking a Quality Process Control Engineer to safeguard quality, safety, and productivity through hands-on leadership. You will drive control methods and implement improvements across production processes to meet rigorous standards.

You will collaborate with leadership, QA, and sales to optimize processes, analyze data for root causes, and ensure pricing accuracy within the ERP system. This role offers growth with a major Northeastern metal-finishing operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial/mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
• Relevant experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, or related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control methodologies for production processes.
• Collaborate with Quality, Sales and other functions to improve processes.
• Analyze production data, identify trends and perform root cause analysis.
• Verify pricing aligns with quotes and input pricing into ERP.
• Quality review all orders planned by order entry.
• Build specifications into the system and adjust steps accordingly.
• Create new processes and input assets/instructions for each step.
• Plan parts not on auto-plans; verify new parts and pricing capabilities.
• Perform yearly pricing adjustments.
• Maintain QA documentation and conduct internal audits.
• Communicate with customers on quality issues and sales.

Triple Cities Metal Finishing is currently seeking a Quality Process Control Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Process Control Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands‑on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on ensuring that engineering and manufacturing processes are performed correctly and to the highest standards. From advanced surface preparation to highly technical finishing processes, we can handle the smallest pieces to large parts over 30 feet long. Position Overview

• Develop and implement quality control methodologies to ensure compliance with quality control standards, guidelines, and procedures in production processes.
• Work with Quality, Sales, and other functions to implement new production processes and improve existing ones.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, root cause analysis of process defects, and implement corrective actions to improve product quality.
• Verify pricing to ensure it matches our quote; input pricing into ERP system.
• Quality Review all orders planned by order entry.
• Build specifications into the system and adjust appropriate steps to match the process.
• Build new processes and input assets and instructions into each step.
• Planning of parts that are not setup on an auto-plan which includes verifying new parts and ensuring proper pricing and ensure we have the capabilities to process the new part.
• Complete pricing adjustments for yearly increases.
• Use Quality standards to improve day-to-day process variation.
• Assist with, develop and maintain QA Documentation.
• Internal Audits
• Customer Communication for sales and quality
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety guidelines and protocols.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in industrial/mechanical engineering or related field is preferred.
• Experience:
  • Relevant experience in metal finishing, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven Quality Control Experience: Familiarity with quality control processes and standards.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Communication: Clear communication is essential for reporting findings and collaborating with production teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Basic math and computer skills, ability to use specialized testing tools and machinery.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and read technical documents and blueprints.
  • Quality Standards: Ensure all products and parts meet stringent quality standards.

Total Compensation Package:

• Wage
  • $62,500 - $68,000 per year.
  • Compensation depends on the selected candidate's experience.
