Job summary

The Atlas Group seeks an experienced FAI Inspector to collaborate with contract administrators and engineering to ensure First Article Inspection Reports meet customer specifications. You will review orders, drawings, and specifications, identify required processes, and validate planning against ECOs.

You will document changes and audit plans, developing FAI templates using Net Inspect and Discus/InspectionXpert.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience or training; or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Net Inspect, Discus, and InspectionXpert in planning and execution.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T specifications; strong product/process knowledge.
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures; Thrive in team-based environment.

Responsibilities

Overview

Responsible for working closely with contract administrators and engineering to ensure that internal planning and engineering can produce an acceptable First Article Inspection Report, which meets the customer’s final specifications by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews customer requirements using customer supplier resources, such as purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and tooling.
• Identifies manufacturing and quality processes necessary to fulfill customer requirements.
• Reviews ECO’s and planning in order to produce a product to customer requirements.
• Participates in the improvement process by documenting process changes in the planning, known as Planning Change Request.
• Audits planning and approves internally created sketches on a regular basis.
• Develops FAI templates within Net Inspect during planning review within the ECO process. Bubbles engineering for all FAI’s with use of Discus Software and/or InspectionXpert.Ballooning Software

Education/Experience:

Specialized Training:

• Net Inspect use/knowledge
• Blueprint reading and interpretation
• GD&T experience
• Discus use experience and/or InspectionXpert experience.

Equipment:

• Eye and hearing protection may be necessary while working on the shop floor

• Thorough product and process knowledge
• Must understand quality as it relates to total customer service philosophy

• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, MRP systems, Net-Inspect, and Discus
