Job summary

MS Companies is hiring a Quality Operations Team Lead for the Automotive Industry on the 1st shift in Portland, TN. You will lead production activities, train associates, and ensure quality and production standards are consistently met.

This role serves as the first point of contact on the floor, guiding teams, overseeing audits, and supporting continuous improvement while maintaining EMS/QMS compliance. Candidates should have at least 2 years in quality or manufacturing, leadership experience,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of quality inspection, production, or manufacturing experience.
• Prior leadership, training, or team lead experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Set up and oversee production tables, ensuring proper processes, tools, and materials are in place
• Train associates on work instructions, processes, and quality standards; document training as required
• Monitor production and rework activities to ensure work is performed according to established procedures
• Ensure production and quality targets are met and maintained throughout the shift
• Perform quality audits and verify accuracy of production data
• Identify, address, and elevate quality or process issues to leadership as needed
• Read and interpret work instructions, Authorized Revisions (A/Rs), and technical drawings (e.g., wire harness)
• Support continuous improvement efforts by recommending process enhancements
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment
• Communicate effectively with associates, supervisors, and cross-functional teams
• Support company policies, client requirements, and EMS/QMS standards
• Assist leadership in meeting operational and departmental goals
