Job summary

SCN BestCo in Mooresville, NC seeks a detail‑oriented quality technician to support manufacturing and packaging with daily auditing of processes (AQLs) and inspections, issue batch records and labels, and recognize quality events. You will initiate holds when needed and audit logs to ensure compliance.

Education: high school diploma; 2 years manufacturing experience. Strong MS Office skills, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced setting.

  • Knowledge of FDA and EU regulations and cGMP preferred.
  • Experience with electronic documentation systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Audit manufacturing and packaging processes for AQLs and defects, and log worksheets.
  • Issue batch records and labels for production.
  • Recognize and act on quality events and initiate holds when needed.
  • Audit manufacturing floor and logs monthly for compliance.
  • Assist in product validations by pulling samples and readings.
  • Use electronic documentation systems for data entry and batch records.
  • Collect retain samples and components as required.
  • Ensure proper sample collection of raw materials and packaging components.

B Shift
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily auditing of the manufacturing and packaging process including acceptable quality limits (AQLs), package inspections for quality defects, check sheets, and other required documentation.
  • Issue batch records and labels for production.
  • Recognize and act upon quality events.
  • Initiate holds when a quality event occurs.
  • Audit manufacturing floor and logbooks monthly to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in product validations by pulling required samples and taking readings as needed.
  • Use electronic documentation systems for data entry and issuance of batch records.
  • Collect samples as required for retain samples and validation activities.
  • Collect samples of raw material and package components.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 year of manufacturing or related experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and initiative with the ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to work within a team on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Hygiene/safety orientation with the highest level of personal integrity.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble‑shooting skills. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred with experience in a directly related field.
  • Prior experience with electronic documentation systems.
  • Knowledge of FDA and EU regulations and standards.
  • Previous experience within a cGMP environment.
  • Experience with AQLs, package inspections for quality defects, check sheets and other related documentation.
