Moog in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Quality Manufacturing Inspector for onsite work with the Space and Defense Group. The role reports to the Quality Inspection Supervisor and operates Monday–Friday on first shift in East Aurora, NY, performing CMM inspections and ensuring part conformance.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years in quality/manufacturing with 1 year of CMM experience (Zeiss preferred) and a strong GD&T/drawing interpretation background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; English literacy to follow instructions.
• 3+ years in quality/manufacturing, with at least 1 year operating a CMM (Zeiss preferred).
• Strong understanding of GD&T and drawing interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing by providing CMM inspection for parts from various departments.
• Run CMM inspection programs and perform manual inspections for complex parts and assemblies.
• Assist machinists in inspection equipment use and interpretation of drawings and specs.
• Perform precision inspection and checking from complex drawings and operation sheets.
• Maintain calibration and probe qualifications; set-ups using height gauges and gauging equipment.
