Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
• 3–5 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards; AS9100 preferred.
• Proficient in using inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers).
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Power Connector's Quality Manufacturing Engineer is critical in contributing to the fundamental changes that are transforming Power Connector. This position is instrumental in enhancing and strengthening our internal Quality Management System by developing and optimizing our internal and external quality processes, procedures, and documentation. This position's primary focus is to assist, contribute, and execute on the team's strategic plans for Quality Management System stability and improvement. Power Connector's Quality Manufacturing Engineer is a dynamic, adaptable, open-minded problem solver with analytical and communication skills suited for individual and team contribution. This position is an integral part in sustaining and improving our quality system for expansion within our current industry and penetration into new industries. This position enjoys the inherent challenges of improving and stabilizing quality management systems and manufacturing processes in a diverse, dynamic, and growing organization. This position has a strong influence on the fundamental principles of the deployed quality management system and leads many initiatives related to the enhancement of internal and external manufacturing and quality processes.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's of Science in engineering or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or related field

Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (AS9100 preferred)
• Proficient in using inspection equipment, such as calipers and micrometers
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, acceptance test procedures, etc.
• Proficient in MS Office

Job Responsibilities

• Interface with quality personnel at customer and supplier levels
• Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required
• Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers, when applicable
• Perform visual inspections of finished products and grade, classify, or sort products according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications when applicable
• Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, conditioning samples, finished goods, or stability samples
• Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded
• Discard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications
• Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance‑rejection status
• Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release
• Maintain all Quality Control documentation
• Assist in all Quality Control activities as directed
• Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems
• Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data record forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms
• Calibrate, validate, or maintain quality control equipment
• Develop and conduct computational analysis for internal and external validation testing as necessary
• Create Supplier Corrective Action Request, submit to supplier, and assess SCAR response
• Assess discrepant material, create Discrepant Material Request, and notify Material Review Board for disposition
• Identify root causes and applicable corrective actions related to quality issues
• Execute quality control protocols and provide feedback to management for potential improvements
• Develop documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data record forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms for New Product Introduction
• Create CAD models, drawings, and specification sheets for parts, tools, fixtures, etc.
• Develop manufacturing processes and write and review process documentation
• Perform time studies on manufacturing processes and assess standard labor times
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on design and manufacturing requirements, functional requirements, capacity, potential failure modes, etc.
• Perform training in manufacturing and assist in cross‑training
• Purchase manufacturing consumables
• Execute manufacturing processes as necessary for engineering, operations, and quality
• Perform DFMEAs, PFMEAs, and Risk Assessments
• Assist with maintenance and set‑up of applicable production equipment
• Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process.
• Assist in control calibration "gage control" program for all calibrated devices.
• Ensure that the company's manufacturing processes comply with all government laws and regulations.
• Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making.
• Document and optimize manufacturing procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Provide support to other engineering areas of operation
• Any additional tasks necessary to execute on the team's strategy for operational sustainability, improvement, and optimization

Other responsibilities, initiatives and ad‑hoc projects as required.
