Job summary

Power Connector, LLC is expanding its Quality team to support a major growth phase following recent acquisition. The Quality Engineering Supervisor will strengthen the internal Quality Management System and drive improvements in processes, documentation, and supplier collaboration.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, deep knowledge of ISO/AS9100 standards, and the ability to read drawings and inspection data.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field required.
• 5–7 years in quality/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards; AS9100 preferred.
• Experience reading drawings and inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Interface with quality personnel at customer and supplier levels.

Power Connector’s Quality Engineering Supervisor is critical in contributing to the fundamental changes that are transforming Power Connector. This position is instrumental in enhancing and strengthening our internal Quality Management System by developing and optimizing our internal and external quality processes, procedures, and documentation. This position’s primary focus is to assist, contribute, and execute on the team’s strategic plans for Quality Management System stability and improvement. Power Connector’s Quality Engineering Supervisor is a dynamic, adaptable, open‑minded problem solver with analytical and communication skills suited for individual and team contribution. This position is an integral part in sustaining and improving our quality system for expansion within our current industry and penetration into new industries. This position enjoys the inherent challenges of improving and stabilizing quality management systems and manufacturing processes in a diverse, dynamic, and growing organization. This position has a strong influence on the fundamental principles of the deployed quality management system and leads many initiatives related to the enhancement of internal and external manufacturing and quality processes.

Education

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science in engineering or related field

Experience

• 5-7 years of experience in quality, manufacturing, or related field

Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (AS9100 preferred)
• Proficient in using inspection equipment, such as calipers and micrometers
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, acceptance test procedures, etc.
• Proficient in MS Office

Job Responsibilities

• Interface with quality personnel at customer and supplier levels
• Read blueprints, data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required
• Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers, when applicable
• Perform visual inspections of finished products and grade, classify, or sort products according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications when applicable
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) activities in accordance with AS9102 requirements.
• Conduct routine and non‑routine analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, conditioning samples, finished goods, or stability samples
• Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or gradedDiscard or reject products, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications
• Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance‑rejection status
• Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release
• Maintain all Quality Control documentation
• Assist in all Quality Control activities as directed
• Notify supervisors or other personnel of production problems
• Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data record forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms
• Calibrate, validate, or maintain quality control equipment
• Develop and conduct computational analysis for internal and external validation testing as necessary
• Initiate and maintain communication with suppliers for ongoing issues. Create and submit Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) as needed and assess SCAR response.
• Assess discrepant material, create Discrepant Material Request, and notify Material Review Board for disposition
• Identify root causes and applicable corrective actions related to quality issues
• Execute quality control protocols and provide feedback to management for potential improvements
• Develop documentation needed to support testing procedures, including data record forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms for New Product Introduction
• Conduct & record internal trainings to ensure compliance to quality procedures
• Provide support to other engineering areas of operation
• Any additional tasks necessary to execute on the team’s strategy for operational sustainability, improvement, and optimization
