Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting seeks a Quality Assurance Manager for a multi-site manufacturing client. You will lead the QA/QC program and oversee laboratory quality across U.S. locations, reporting to senior operations leadership.

You will maintain ISO 9001, conduct audits, train staff, manage testing of materials and products, and drive continuous improvement. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• 5+ years of QA/QC experience in industrial manufacturing, chemicals, specialty materials, or a related processing environment.
• 2+ years of laboratory supervisory or leadership experience.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification required.
• Experience with wet chemistry, physical materials testing, analytical instrumentation, and statistical process control.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System across locations.
• Lead third party registrations and customer audits.
• Provide direction, training, and support to laboratory and site quality personnel.
• Oversee testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Ensure methods are validated and instruments calibrated/maintained.
• Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA.
• Manage laboratory resources, budgets, and quality performance metrics.

Quality Assurance Manager – Multi-Site Manufacturing

Location: Remote (major city in Eastern US with airport access)

Our client, a manufacturer of specialty industrial materials, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead its quality management system and laboratory quality across multiple U.S. manufacturing locations.

This role directly supervises a Quality Coordinator and provides functional leadership to site laboratory teams. The position combines quality systems ownership, analytical testing oversight, audit management, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the organization’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including document control, procedures, and audit readiness.
• Lead third party registration and customer audits.
