Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead ISO 9001 QMS and laboratory quality across multiple U.S. manufacturing locations. The role supervises a Quality Coordinator and provides functional leadership to site laboratory teams.

You will oversee analytical testing, audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance, calibration, and data integrity across materials and finished products. Travel up to 50% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• 5+ years of QA/QC experience in industrial manufacturing, chemicals, specialty materials, or a related processing environment.
• 2+ years of laboratory supervisory or leadership experience.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification required.
• Experience with wet chemistry, physical materials testing, analytical instrumentation, and statistical process control.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the organization's ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including document control, procedures, and audit readiness.
• Lead third party registration and customer audits.
• Provide direction, training, and support to laboratory and site quality personnel.
• Oversee physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Ensure analytical methods are validated and laboratory instruments are calibrated and maintained.
• Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action.
• Manage laboratory resources, budgets, and quality performance metrics.
