Job summary

Connectly Recruiting client, a specialty industrial materials manufacturer, seeks a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the ISO 9001 QMS and laboratory quality across multiple U.S. locations.

This role supervises a Quality Coordinator and partners with site lab teams to drive quality systems and testing oversight. You will oversee method validation, instrument calibration, audits, and CAPA, manage budgets and metrics, and travel up to 50% to support sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related scientific discipline.
• 5+ years QA/QC experience in industrial manufacturing.
• 2+ years laboratory supervisory or leadership experience.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification required.
• Experience with wet chemistry, physical materials testing, analytical instrumentation, and SPC.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the organization’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including document control, procedures, and audit readiness.
• Lead third party registration and customer audits.
• Provide direction, training, and support to laboratory and site quality personnel.
• Oversee physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Ensure analytical methods are validated and laboratory instruments are calibrated and maintained.
• Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action.
• Manage laboratory resources, budgets, and quality performance metrics.

Our client, a manufacturer of specialty industrial materials, is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead its quality management system and laboratory quality across multiple U.S. manufacturing locations.

This role directly supervises a Quality Coordinator and provides functional leadership to site laboratory teams. The position combines quality systems ownership, analytical testing oversight, audit management, and continuous improvement.
