Job Overview
Seeking a leader who is hands‑on with at least 3 years of Quality Management experience in a manufacturing environment. Must have strong interpersonal skills and will interact with multiple teams in the plant. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Chemical experience and quality certifications are pluses.

Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with quality standards, and foster a culture of operational excellence.
- Lead and mentor a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians in daily testing, quality inspections, audits, and process improvements.
- Manage the ISO 9001 Quality Management System to ensure compliance, certification, and documentation.
- Lead internal and external ISO audits, address corrective actions, and maintain certifications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and implement process improvements using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Monitor quality metrics to ensure products meet customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, addressing root causes and preventing recurrence.
- Provide training on quality standards and best practices, promoting cross‑functional collaboration.
- Develop annual quality goals and execute programs to accomplish these goals, ensuring accurate documentation and reporting of quality metrics, audits, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to assess and improve supplier quality.
- Use the SAP system to cease any process or product delivery due to non‑conformance (safety/regulatory issue, customer requirements, etc.).
- Manage distressed and at‑risk inventory processes and raw material approvals.
- Prepare and present comprehensive performance reports to senior executives, including KPIs, trend analysis, and long‑term strategies to improve product quality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, preferably in Chemistry or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Management; 1‑3 years of manufacturing plant experience.
- Strong problem‑solving, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Preferred: ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems knowledge.
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant.
- Knowledge of paint & coatings chemistry.
- Experience as a Co‑op (optional).
- Experience using SAP/S4 HANA.
- Experience with statistical software/applications for data analysis.
- Time management skills.
