ALPLA Iowa is seeking a seasoned Quality Assurance Manager to lead site QA efforts in Coralville. You will oversee audits, ensure ISO 9001 and FSSC 22000 compliance, manage HACCP programs, and drive customer-focused quality improvements.

The role requires a 4-year STEM degree with 5+ years in QA, strong Excel/SPC/PowerPoint skills, and cross-functional leadership. Join a stable, family-owned manufacturer focused on sustainable packaging and growth.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a STEM/technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance with a track record as QA Manager.
• Proficient with Excel, SPC software, Word, PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and HACCP; familiarity with FSSC 22000 is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and manage customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits as the primary audit contact and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, FSSC 22000 and other standards as required.
• Own HACCP and other product-safety risk programs; support risk assessments.
• Monthly quality and food safety data reporting; drive improvement actions.
• Manage document control and standardize plant quality documentation.
• Oversee QA team meetings, training, and staff development.
• Serve as the main customer liaison for quality and regulatory communications.
• Address supplier quality issues and support RCA processes.
