Job summary

Deibel Laboratories in Manhattan, Kansas is seeking a Quality Manager to own the day-to-day Quality Management System in the food and microbiology laboratory. This hands-on role collaborates with Lab Manager and Quality leadership to ensure quality expectations are understood and followed.

You will maintain the QMS, review documentation, train staff on SOPs, support audits and CAPA, and identify nonconformances. A Bachelor's in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, or Chemistry is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline and strong knowledge of laboratory quality systems.
• Experience working with SOPs, controlled documentation and quality systems.
• Ability to train and guide others on quality expectations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the laboratory's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Review quality documentation and verify compliance with procedures.
• Train and support laboratory staff on Quality SOPs and expectations.
• Support audits, CAPA, and nonconformance investigations.
• Partner with leadership to identify quality risks and practical solutions.
