Job summary

Ashton North LLC is assisting a East Tennessee high-volume manufacturing plant in Knoxville to recruit a Quality Assurance Manager. The role requires a BS degree and at least 5+ years in a Quality Manager role.

The successful candidate will drive IATF 16949 compliance, design quality systems and audits, and lead a 10-member quality team in a fast-paced environment with strong customer interaction.

Qualifications

• Ensure IATF 16949 compliance and lead quality audits.
• Design and implement quality systems and product audits.
• Lead a 10-member Quality team and coordinate with Plant Manager.
• Interface with customers to communicate quality expectations.

Job description

East TN, high-volume manufacturing plant has immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Manager. Ideal candidate will have BS degree (in a technical discipline) along with at least 5+ years prior experience in a Quality Manager role.

Experience in Automotive Quality systems is ideal. The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure IATF 16949 compliance, and will also design Quality systems and product audits. Will lead a 10-member Quality team.

This is a highly visible role reporting to the Plant Manager. Must have strong communication skills as this role involves regular interaction with customers. Knowledge of 8D, 5Why, FMEA and Root Cause Analysis is highly important.

This is a fast-paced environment where Quality is held to a high-standard. The Quality Assurance Manager is a key member of the plant leadership team.
