A leading healthcare organization is seeking a clinical embryologist or andrologist to join their team at Salisbury Fertility Centre. The successful candidate will oversee clinical laboratory treatments, manage quality systems, and provide high-quality clinical and teaching services, contributing to patient care and staff training.
Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical embryologist or andrologist with an interest in quality management to join our friendly, patient-centered team at Salisbury Fertility Centre, within Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, set in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
Salisbury Fertility Centre is a well-established facility with over 20 years of experience, offering a comprehensive range of laboratory diagnostic and assisted conception techniques, including IVF, ICSI, microTESE, gamete & embryo cryopreservation, and a large NHS Fertility Preservation program, along with active egg and embryo donation programs.
The Centre also collaborates with Manchester University Hospital Trust on a patient embryo research program. We are a training centre for the national Scientist Training Program, having successfully mentored 11 graduates.
Ideal candidates will have experience performing clinical workload in an andrology and/or embryology laboratory setting and be familiar with the HFEA Code of Practice. Registration as a Clinical Scientist with the HCPC is required.
The post holder will contribute to all aspects of clinical laboratory treatments, providing high-quality clinical, scientific, and academic (teaching) services as needed, and will develop these services further for Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.
Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will act as the centre quality manager and a key member of the fertility service, expected to work independently with clinical procedures, organize workload, supervise staff, and report to the Senior Embryologists and Lead Clinician.
