Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager in Wilmer, TX to oversee day-to-day QA within the Quality Management System across diverse accounts. You will drive continuous improvement, report system effectiveness, and ensure adherence to industry standards.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and experience with Lean and Six Sigma, with a salary around six figures based on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business/Engineering/Supply Chain or 8+ years of related work experience.
• 7+ years of Operational Management experience.
• 5+ years of Quality Management/Process Improvement experience.
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt and ASQ certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs and maintains the Quality Management System per company/industry standards.
• Implements a standardized corrective action system and tracks results.
• Reports QMS effectiveness at regular management meetings.
• Supports regulatory compliance and certification requirements.
• Assists in Customer Satisfaction Management processes.

We are immediately hiring a Quality Manager in Wilmer, TX for our Supply Chain Solutions division.

• Pay Type: Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
• Annual Salary Pay: $100,000 per year based on experience
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

SUMMARY

Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Quality Management System on accounts of diverse scope and magnitude including adherence to company and industry standards. Provides regular and proactive communication to customers and Ryder management. Supports continuous improvement efforts as needed

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Designs, implements, maintains and audits the Quality Management System based on established company and/or industry standards. Implements a standardized corrective action system

Reports the effectiveness of the Quality Management System at regular management meetings

Supports regulatory compliance and certification requirements

Assists in implementing and maintaining Customer Satisfaction Management Process

Performs all functions related to Quality Assurance for a start-up or expansion

Engage the operations team and the customer to ensure achievement of business objectives

Supports Continuous Improvement deployment using fundamentals of Lean and Six Sigma

Provide training on Quality Assurance topics to identified employees

Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors

Applies judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

May lead Continuous Improvement projects as necessary

Exerts some influence on the overall objectives and long range goals of the organization

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree Business/Engineering/Supply Chain or minimum of 8 years of related work experience.

EXPERIENCE

Seven (7) years or more experience Operational Management

Five (5) years or more experience Quality Management/Process Improvement

LICENSES

Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (1 Year, preferred).

Other ASQ's Certified Quality Auditor (1 Year, preferred).
