Job summary

Packaging Services Industries, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager to lead a culture of uncompromising quality, safety, and continuous improvement across our Williamsport, MD operation.

You will drive quality initiatives, ensure compliance with industry standards, and safeguard product integrity and customer trust. Qualifications

• 3+ years proven experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, organization and planning skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for building a zero-incident, high-quality culture.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various employee groups, external customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control systems for corrugated production — from raw material inspection to final product audits.
• Conduct root cause analyses quality deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Train and coach employees quality standards, and process improvements in all production facilities.
• Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure equipment, processes, and materials meet quality benchmarks.
• Maintain certifications, documentation, and reporting for internal audits and customer requirements.
• Complete customer quality requests including NAFTA, RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals compliance.

The Impact You'll Make

The PSI Group in Williamsport MD, a leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes and distributor of packaging supplies, is seeking a Quality Manager to join our team.As our Quality Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind a culture where quality is never compromised. You’ll lead initiatives that protect our people, ensure compliance with industry standards, and deliver packaging solutions that exceed customer expectations. Your work will directly influence our reputation, operational excellence, and the well-being of every team member.

Core Responsbilities

• Oversee quality control systems for corrugated production — from raw material inspection to final product audits.
• Conduct root cause analyses quality deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Train and coach employees quality standards, and process improvements in all production facilities.
• Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure equipment, processes, and materials meetquality benchmarks.
• Maintain certifications, documentation, and reporting for internal audits and customer requirements.
• Complete customer quality requests including NAFTA, RoHS, REACH, and Conflict Minerals compliance.
• Travel and work at other sites is approximately 20%

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+years proven experience in quality management in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the corrugated or paperboard manufacturing industry.
• Bachelor's Degree a related field or equivalent work experience
• Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Exceptional communication, organization and planning skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for building a zero-incident, high-quality culture.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from various employee groups, external customers and vendors

PSI offers an excellent benefits package to full time employees, including:
