Job summary

Ritz Instrument Transformers USA is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee the day-to-day execution of the QMS and ensure compliance with ISO, UL, and customer requirements. You will serve as the bridge between strategic quality direction and frontline execution with quality staff.

You will lead quality personnel, drive process adherence, and coordinate root-cause analyses, corrective actions, and supplier quality activities to sustain product quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 preferred).
  • Experience in manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support Quality staff to ensure effective execution of quality processes.
  • Ensure site audit readiness and maintain compliance with QMS requirements (ISO, UL, and customer-specific standards).
  • Oversee and maintain documentation including procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
  • Monitor product quality and manufacturing processes to ensure conformance to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for internal and external quality issues.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and follow up on findings.
  • Partner with production and engineering to improve process capability and reduce defects.
  • Track and report key quality metrics and drive continuous improvement actions.
  • Support supplier quality activities and monitor performance.
  • Review and approve nonconforming material dispositions and documentation.

Brief Description

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day execution of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable standards such as ISO and UL. This role serves as the primary link between strategic quality direction set by the Director of Quality and the operational execution carried out by quality staff.

Summary

The Quality Manager leads quality personnel, drives process adherence, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures timely resolution of quality issues through collaboration with production, engineering, and suppliers.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support Quality staff to ensure effective execution of quality processes.
  • Ensure site audit readiness and maintain compliance with Quality Management System requirements. (ISO, UL, and customer-specific standards)
  • Oversee and maintain documentation including procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
  • Monitor product quality and manufacturing processes to ensure conformance to specifications and customer requirements.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for internal and external quality issues.
  • Manage site CCR/RMA and SNCR processes, ensuring timely evaluation, disposition, and closure.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including preparation, execution, and follow-up on findings.
  • Partner with production and engineering to improve process capability and reduce defects.
  • Track and report key quality metrics, driving accountability and continuous improvement actions.
  • Ensure proper training and competency of quality personnel and support cross-functional training efforts.
  • Support supplier quality activities, including issue resolution and performance monitoring.
  • Review and approve nonconforming material dispositions and ensure proper documentation.
  • Lead communication of quality expectations, standards, and performance across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency gains within quality systems.

Knowledge And Skill Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 preferred)
  • Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality-related systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, corrective actions)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and specifications
  • Leadership and team management experience
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Data analysis and reporting capability
