Job summary

H.O. Bostrom is seeking a Quality Manager to own and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment in Waukesha, WI.

You will lead internal audits, CAPA, and customer issue resolution while driving cost reductions and process improvements acrossEngineering, Operations, and Production. Strong leadership, a Bachelor's in engineering, and 5+ years of manufacturing quality leadership are required; CQE/CQI and Lean/Six Sigma are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Five or more years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with manufacturing assembly processes; metals experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience managing ISO 9001 systems, internal audits, and quality compliance.
• Strong problem-solving, root cause analysis, and customer communication skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and translate quality issues into actionable business improvements.
• CQE/CQI certification and Lean or Six Sigma experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and continually improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring ongoing compliance and successful certification audits.
• Lead the internal audit program and oversee CAPA to resolve issues permanently.
• Serve as the primary quality contact for customer concerns, leading root cause investigations.
• Develop quality policies, control plans, inspection strategies, and KPIs to reduce defects and costs.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Production to improve processes and support new product introductions.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, PDCA, and other tools.
• Lead, coach, and develop one Quality Technician and foster a culture of quality.

What You’ll Do

• Own and continually improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring ongoing compliance and successful certification audits
• Lead the internal audit program and oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve issues permanently
• Serve as the primary quality contact for customer concerns, leading root cause investigations and driving sustainable corrective actions
• Develop quality policies, control plans, inspection strategies, and key performance indicators that reduce defects, customer complaints, and the cost of poor quality
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Production to improve processes, support new product introductions, and ensure quality is built into every step
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC, PDCA, and other quality tools
• Lead, coach, and develop one Quality Technicians while fostering a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility
