Job summary

StaffBright in Michigan near Saline is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee QA and QC in the plant, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 while driving continuous improvement initiatives. This fully on-site role requires leading audits, managing a quality team, and collaborating with operations, engineering and production to raise product quality and satisfy customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• 3+ years leading Quality in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO9001.
• Experience with AIAG core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC processes within the plant.
• Develop and maintain quality standards per ISO/IATF and QMS.
• Conduct internal audits for customer and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee AIAG core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
• Drive continuous improvement to raise product quality.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and production.
• Manage and mentor quality team members.
• Support customer interactions on quality issues and corrective actions.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Quality Manager to join our client’s team near Saline, MI. This is a fully on-site position working standard daytime plant hours. In this role, you will oversee quality assurance and control processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control processes within the plant
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards and procedures in alignment with ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14000, and internal QMS requirements
• Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards
• Oversee and support AIAG core tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and overall customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, and production
• Manage and mentor quality team members while fostering a strong quality culture
• Support customer interactions related to quality issues, audits, and corrective actions

What We Need From You

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field (flexible)
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a Quality Manager role
• 3+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO9001 standards
• Experience with AIAG core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)
• Strong computer skills including MS Office and ERP systems
