Job summary

MSI Express is seeking a Quality leader to guide the plant's quality, safety and integrity processes. You will develop policies and procedures to assure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction, while supervising both salaried and hourly teams.

You will establish HACCP programs, conduct audits, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement, always aligning with customer requirements and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must have strong budget and operations leadership in a plant environment.
• Experience managing metrics and KPIs to improve quality and safety.
• Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, HACCP and regulatory guidelines is essential.
• Ability to lead both salaried and hourly teams and drive training.
• Desirable knowledge of sensory analysis and pharmaceutical/food industry practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and training to the plant in quality, food safety, plant safety sanitation, good manufacturing practices and customer service.
• Maintain communication with all departments to address production priorities and shortfalls, ensuring no impact on customer service.
• Establish and review HACCP programs.
• Conduct customer, regulatory and in-house audits.
• Monitor plant performance and develop action plans to address concerns.
• Maintain understanding of customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain operational quality standards, batch sheets and specification sheets.
• Adhere to customer Quality policies and procedures as stated in manuals.
• Create a positive working environment and ensure respectful treatment of all associates.
• Adhere to regulatory rules ensuring food safety and product performance standards.

ROLE PURPOSE/ POSITION SUMMARY

To provide direction to the quality department in the areas of safety, service, performance, quality and leadership. Will ensure that the quality of all products produced within the production facility will be done so in a safe and wholesome manner. Develop and maintain policies, procedures and documentation that assure the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership, direction and training to the plant in areas such as quality, food safety, plant safety sanitation, good manufacturing practices and customer service.
• Maintain continuous communication with all departments to assure production priorities and shortfalls are addressed in a timely manner, to not impact customer service.
• Establish and review HACCP programs.
• Conduct Customer, regulatory and in-house audits.
• Monitor plant performance and develop/implement action plans to understand and address areas of concern.
• Maintain a clear understanding of customer requirements.
