Job summary

TT Electronics seeks a Quality Manager to lead quality across shifts, ensuring products meet Mil STD, AS9100, FMEA, APQP, PAPP, and MSA standards. ITAR eligibility is required.

The role includes stopping production to correct issues, driving continuous improvement, and managing supplier development, KPIs, and compliance. A bachelor’s in engineering or quality and 5+ years in manufacturing are expected. On-site in Kansas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality or related field.
• Five+ years experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with AS9100, FMEA, APQP, PAPP, and MSA.
• ITAR governs access to information; must be a U.S. person.

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Management Systems implementation and oversight (Mil STD, AS9100, FMEA, PPAP, MSA).
• Stop production to correct quality problems when required.
• Drive continuous improvement programs across the site.
• Manage supplier development with focus on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Monitor customer satisfaction indicators and preventive actions.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

This position requires access to information regulated by International Traffic in Arms Regulations. Applicants must qualify as a US Person under ITAR.

Introduction

The Quality Manager, in conjunction with the Operations Leaders, will ensure that Value Stream Managers, Team Leaders, and Production Leads across shifts, will hold delegated responsibility for ensuing product quality and shall have the authority to stop production to correct quality problems.

The Quality Manager is the management representative for all Quality Management Systems, i.e., Mil STD, AS9100, FMEA, ARQP, PPAP, and MSA.

Key Responsibilities

• Meeting departmental targets and objectives cascaded from business plan.
• Setting departmental personal targets and objectives.
• Meeting all relevant departmental KPIs
• Maintenance of system and product approvals.
• Review and control of personnel in departmentto meet ongoing requirements.
• Encouraging, monitoring and reporting on all continuousimprovement programs active at the site.
• Management of supplier development function and focusing on supplier development in cost, quality and delivery.
• Review of customer satisfaction indicators and adoption of preventive techniques to improve.
• Documentation controlwithin area. Test results, drawings, etc.
• Working within other areas of the Quality department, as required.
• Ensuring the maintenance of product quality with agreed standards. The Quality Manager has the authority and responsibility to stop production tocorrect quality problems.
• PPM Reduction including reduction in customer returns and scrap/waste reductions.
• Yield improvements.
• The Quality Manager has the ability to influence a culture in which manufacturing embraces the quality versus the Quality Department is solely responsible.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes

• Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate information and recommendations to diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication and auditing skills, with the ability to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Results-oriented with a strong bias for action, demonstrating urgency, accountability, and execution focus.
• Data-driven decision maker, with the ability to analyze metrics, identify trends, and support informed business decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to determine root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Desireable Skills and Experience

• Bachelors' degree in engineering, quality or related field.
• At least five years experience in manufacturing, preferably gained in a similar industry.
• Experience in AS9100, FMEA, APQP, PAPP, and MSA.
• Quality Management Systems experience.
• This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR.
