Job summary

Community Medical Center in Missoula, MT, seeks an RN Quality Manager to oversee regulatory compliance with the Quality Director. The role emphasizes understanding Joint Commission standards and CMS Conditions of Participation, with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing degree, MT licensure, 3 years acute care, 1 year in quality improvement, and strong English/computer skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Nursing or related healthcare degree.
  • Current MT licensure or compact licensure as approved by MT board.
  • Three years acute care experience.
  • One year of Quality Improvement or related experience.
  • BLS certification.
  • Proficient in English and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee regulatory compliance with the facility in conjunction with the Quality Director.
  • Have foundational understanding of The Joint Commission standards and CMS Conditions of Participation.
  • Work independently with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all activities and data; communicate with multiple stakeholders across the enterprise.

Job description

Registered Nurse (RN) Quality Manager

Status/FTE: FT / 1.0 FTE

Shift length: 8 or 10 hours

Start Time: 0800

Unit: Quality

Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Mon-Friday, with occasional weekends possible

Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in related healthcare field
  • Possession of valid, current MT discipline specific licensure (or compact licensure as approved by the MT State Discipline specific board)
  • Three (3) years of acute care experience
  • One (1) year of Quality Improvement or related experience
  • BLS
  • Proficient in English, verbal and written communication skills, and computer skills required
Preferred qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of acute care experience
  • Two (2) years of Quality Improvement or related experience
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ),Certified Professional in-Patient Safety (CPPS) or similar certification preferred, or within one year of hire

Additional Information/Department information: The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance with the facility in conjunction with the quality Director.
