Job summary

Justrite Safety Group is seeking a Quality Manager for Eagle Manufacturing in Wellsburg, WV to oversee product quality on the production floor. You will lead continuous improvement efforts, coordinate with engineering, sales, production, and safety, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and third-party inspectors.

Requirements include 10–15 years as a QE in metal fabrication, an engineering tech associates (BS preferred), and strong RCCA/8D experience.

Qualifications

• 10-15 yrs. QE experience in metal fabrication/welding manufacturing.
• Associates in Engineering Technology or equivalent; BS Engineering preferred.
• Formal quality system experience required.
• RCCA/A3/8D methodologies for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Compare production drawings to parts; advise on discrepancies.
• Use quality inspection tools to validate dimensions.
• Develop QA manual and QA documentation.
• Coordinate with FM/UL/TUV inspectors to maintain compliance.
• Maintain ISO 9001 and related certifications.
• Create and maintain QA work instructions.
• Develop and maintain a gage calibration system.
• Work with Customer Service on RCCA responses to complaints.
• Manage engineering deviations to support manufacturing; implement permanent solutions.
• Handle RCCA with supplier quality issues; liaise with Purchasing.
• Review and approve Supplier PPAP submissions.
• Initiate and manage engineering changes to resolve quality issues.
• Supervise/ develop QA Specialist.

The Contribution You'll bring to this Role:

We are looking for a Quality Manager that is experienced, detail-oriented to join our growing team at Eagle Manufacturing in Wellsburg, WV. This position will play a key role in overall success of our organization. This position reports to the Operations Manager but will be expected to work in a team environment with Engineering, Sales, Production, Accounting, Inventory Control and Safety. Oversees the product quality currently being manufactured on the production floor.

What You'll Do at Justrite:

• Will be required to compare production drawings to parts in production and advise on discrepancies/possible causes.
• Functional experience using common quality inspection tools to validate dimensions.
• Responsible for supporting the development of the Quality Assurance (QA) manual and other levels of documentation defining the QA system.
• Working with third party/state inspectors like FM/UL/TUV to ensure that Justrite maintain compliance to the required manufacturing standards.
• Maintain and advance certifications such as ISO 9001.
• Creating and maintaining work instructions specifically for the quality processes.
• Help develop and maintain an active gage calibration system.
• Work with Customer Service to perform RCCA responses to selected customer complaints.
• Manage engineering deviations requests to support manufacturing along with helping identify and implement permanent solutions.
• Work on RCCA with supplier quality issues identified through the manufacturing process or sample submissions. This includes direct communication with Purchasing and the supplier.
• Review and approve Supplier PPAP submissions on new or revised purchased parts
• Initiate and manage requests for engineering changes to resolve quality issues.
• Supervise/manage/develop QA Specialist.

Your Skills and Expertise:

To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum:

• 10-15 yrs. experience as a QE in a metal fabrication/welding manufacturing business required.
• Associates in Engineering Technology or equivalent experience required. A Bachelor of Science Engineering preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in working within a formal quality system required.
• Functional experience with RCCA/A3/8D/etc. methodologies to achieve continuous improvement.
• Experience developing preventative quality processes within a lean mfg. environment.
• Strong sense of curiosity with a proactive entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Power BI experience would be considered a plus.
• Strong communication skills from the shop floor to upper management.
• Ability to work in noisy environments with hearing protection
• ERP system experience preferred.
• Ability to work individually or as part of a team
• Diligently follow safe work practices for yourself and team members at all time
• Ability to work in both a manufacturing office and shop floor environment daily.
• Wear all required PPE including: steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.

Compensation:

Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan to enhance their overall total compensation package when Justrite Safety Group and their business units achieve annual business and financial targets.
