Job summary

Pretium Packaging, a leading plastics manufacturer, seeks an onsite Quality Control Manager in Hazleton, PA. You will lead a quality team on the plant floor, drive audits, and ensure products meet customer and internal standards in a fast-paced environment.

You’ll develop and implement GMP, quality systems, HACCP programs, and data-driven improvement initiatives, partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to elevate performance and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience leading quality in a manufacturing environment (rigid plastics preferred but not required).
• A bachelor’s degree in quality engineering or quality management.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, quality systems, and audit processes.
• Experience with food safety programs (HACCP, audits, compliance).
• Proven ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional partners.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Higher.
• Data-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Cause Mapping, root cause analysis, FMEA, statistical process control, validation, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Develop people and culture by coaching the quality team and partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Promote accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across the plant.

In this role, you’ll be the driving force behind product quality on the plant floor—partnering closely with operations, leading a team of inspectors and technicians, and ensuring every product that leaves our facility meets both customer expectations and internal standards.

Drive Quality Excellence:

• Develop and execute quality strategies aligned with plant and company goals

Lead Audits & Compliance:

• Own internal, customer, and third-party audits
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal standards
• Maintain audit readiness at all times
• Define product specifications, control plans, and validation processes

• Analyze trends and data to proactively improve performance

Own Food Safety Programs:

• Lead food safety systems, documentation, and training
• Manage HACCP plans and critical control points
• Ensure all materials and finished goods meet strict safety standards

Develop People & Culture:

• Lead, coach, and develop the quality team
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain
• Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

What You Bring:
