Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a seasoned Quality Manager to lead and elevate plant-level quality systems, driving world-class performance in a fast-paced turnaround environment. You will build high-performing teams, mentor staff, and own key quality processes to deliver superior customer outcomes.

Responsibilities include overseeing 8D actions, improving core metrics, and ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer requirements while coordinating supplier quality and incoming inspection

Qualifications

  • 7-10+ years in automotive quality leadership (Tier 1 experience required).
  • Minimum 3 years managing quality teams (QA/QC).
  • Proven success in a turnaround or transformation environment.
  • Strong experience with supplier quality and incoming inspection systems.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (certification)
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (preferred)
  • Deep knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific standards
  • Proficiency with Minitab and 8D problem-solving methodology
  • Hands-on expertise with AIAG Core Tools

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the Quality team
  • Build and execute development plans to strengthen team capabilities
  • Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Oversee all corrective actions (8D) to ensure timely, root-cause resolution
  • Track and improve key customer metrics (PPM, PRR, NCT, QR)
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns
  • Own and maintain AIAG Core Tools documentation (PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA)
  • Maintain compliant documentation aligned with internal and customer standards
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements
  • Lead supplier quality performance, audits, and incoming inspection processes
  • Support reductions in scrap, downtime, and drive FTQ improvements

Lead & Develop a High-Performing Team


  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the Quality team

  • Build and execute development plans to strengthen team capabilities

  • Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives


Drive Quality Excellence & Customer Satisfaction


  • Oversee all corrective actions (8D) to ensure timely, root-cause resolution

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns


Own Core Tools & Documentation


  • Ensure accurate and timely updates to AIAG Core Tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA)

  • Maintain compliant documentation aligned with internal and customer standards


Compliance & Certification


  • Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements

  • Manage certification documentation and communication with external bodies


Supplier Quality & Operations Support


  • Lead supplier quality performance, audits, and incoming inspection processes

  • Support reductions in scrap, downtime, and drive First Time Quality (FTQ) improvements


What We're Looking For


  • Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing-related field (Master's preferred)

  • 7-10+ years in automotive quality leadership (Tier 1 experience required)

  • Minimum 3 years managing quality teams (QA/QC)

  • Proven success in a turnaround or transformation environment

  • Strong experience with supplier quality and incoming inspection systems
