Job summary

Zing Recruiting is seeking a Quality Manager for an automotive plastics injection molding facility in Elberton, GA. You will oversee the Quality Department and QA Laboratory, ensuring TS 16949/IATF compliance and leading continuous improvement across supplier quality and internal processes.

Responsibilities include PPAP/APQP management, root cause analysis, and aligning with customer requirements. Strong leadership, SAP experience, and a background in automotive manufacturing are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in quality management in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of TS 16949/IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing environments including plastic injection molding.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficiency with SAP and quality reporting systems.

• Lead and develop the Quality Department and Quality Assurance Laboratory.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce COPQ.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System per TS 16949/IATF requirements.
• Manage Supplier Quality Engineering activities, audits, and performance metrics.
• Schedule, track, review, and approve PPAP submissions.
• Participate in APQP, Run@Rate activities, and new product launches.
• Ensure proper handling of non-conforming material and SAP quality processes.
• Serve as the primary customer quality representative and monitor customer scorecards and KPIs.
• Communicate and deploy customer-specific requirements throughout the organization.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, MSA/gage studies, and problem-solving initiatives.
• Establish and manage departmental objectives, budgets, and LPA/LOP.
• Support plant safety initiatives and company-wide operational objectives.
• Lead quality training and development activities for plant personnel.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager for one of our prominent clients in Elberton, GA to lead quality operations for an automotive manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for overseeing the Quality Department and Quality Assurance Laboratory, maintaining IATF/TS quality standards, driving continuous improvement initiatives, managing supplier quality, and serving as the primary customer quality representative.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of TS 16949/IATF 16949 standards and customer-specific requirements.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing environments.
• Plastic Injection Molding experience required.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Proficiency with SAP and quality reporting systems.
• Familiarity with customer portals, scorecards, and supplier quality management.
• Lean Manufacturing and 5S experience preferred.

• Ability to analyze quality trends and implement corrective actions.
• Experience interpreting dimensional reports and conducting gage studies.
