Job summary

Qnity Electronics, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA team at the Circleville, OH plant within the AFT group. You will oversee audits, KPI reporting, and continuous quality improvements across processes and products.

Responsibilities include maintaining ISO 9001, coordinating quality methods, and driving reduction of defects through SPC and MRB oversight. Strong leadership and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science/engineering, or related discipline.
• 7+ years of quality and/or manufacturing experience.
• 2+ years of managing direct reports.
• Experience using statistical software such as Minitab or JMP.
• Knowledge of DOE, control charts, MSA, Gage R&R, and ANOVA.
• ISO9001 audit experience; lead auditor preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct internal audits to meet QMS requirements.
• Provide monthly quality performance reports and KPIs.
• Coordinate new quality methods to meet customer needs and improve production.

• Review product conformance to specifications and control limits.
• Evaluate yields and drive improvements using SPC methodology.
• Prepare reports from scrap data, control plans, and quality procedures; suggest improvements.
• Coordinate resources for QC to drive metrology MSA and GRR studies.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing on process variables and tooling.
• Control non-conformances; oversee MRB/nonconforming processes.
• Reduce inspection percentage while increasing quality prevention and operator involvement.

Job description

Qnity Electronics is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team within the Advanced Flex Technologies (AFT) group. This role will be responsible for managing the Quality Assurance team at the Circleville, OH plant including performance evaluations and goal setting, responsible for assigned process improvements initiatives, KPI’s and plant quality objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and strategically improve the ISO 9001 quality management system in compliance with site and organization directives.
• Schedule and conduct internal audits as required to comply with quality management system requirements.
• Provide monthly quality performance reports and KPI.
• Use specialized Quality Engineering knowledge to coordinate and initiate new quality methods to meet current and future customer requirements, planned organization objectives, and improved production capabilities and standards.
• Ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction are maintained for customer quality and customer complaint responsiveness
• Review conformance of products to specifications and control limits.
• Evaluate product yields and drive improvement activities via usage of Statistical Process Control methodologies
• Coordinate the preparation of reports from scrap,process control plans and quality procedures. Recommend changes to methods, equipment and personnel to improve quality and reduce costs. Discuss and resolve quality concerns with other departments.
• Coordinate resources for quality control to drive metrology MSA and GRR studies.
• Work with Engineering and manufacturing to review pre and post production process variables, problem areas, required inspection tooling, and required documentation.
• Control non-conformance both externally and internally including material non-conformance. Initiate, implement and verify corrective actions. This includes oversight to company MRB/Nonconforming processes.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing to reduce inspection percentage while decreasing defects via quality ownership (e.g., increased operator/setup involvement) and quality prevention initiatives.

Education/Experience/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science/Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
• Minimum of 7 years’ related experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing.
• Two plus years in managing direct reports.
• Experience using a statistical software program (e.g., Minitab, JMP™) is required
• Demonstrated understanding of statistical techniques including DOE, Control Charts, MSA, Gage R&R, ANOVA is required.
• Audit experience to the requirements of ISO9001; ISO9001 lead auditor certification is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
