Job summary

Qnity Electronics in Circleville, OH is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA team within the Advanced Flex Technologies group. You will oversee internal audits, KPI reporting, and quality-improvement initiatives to meet customer requirements and site objectives.

The ideal candidate has a technical Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in quality or manufacturing, plus 2+ years of supervisory experience. Proficiency with ISO 9001, DOE, and Minitab/JMP is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 7+ years in quality or manufacturing.
• Two or more years in managing direct reports.
• Experience using statistical software (Minitab, JMP) required.
• Understanding of DOE, Control Charts, MSA, Gage R&R, ANOVA required.
• ISO9001 audit experience; ISO9001 lead auditor certification preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills.
• MS Office and ERP systems experience; data driven.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strategically improve the ISO 9001 quality management system in compliance with site and organization directives.
• Schedule and conduct internal audits as required to comply with quality management system requirements.
• Provide monthly quality performance reports and KPI.
• Coordinate and initiate new quality methods to meet current and future customer requirements, planned objectives, and improved production capabilities and standards.
• Ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction for customer quality and customer complaint responsiveness; review conformance of products to specifications and control limits.
• Evaluate product yields and drive improvement activities via SPC; coordinate preparation of scrap reports, control plans and quality procedures.
• Recommend changes to methods, equipment and personnel to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Discuss and resolve quality concerns with other departments.
• Coordinate resources for quality control to drive metrology MSA and GRR studies.
• Work with Engineering and manufacturing to review pre and post production process variables, inspection tooling, and documentation.
• Control non-conformance including MRB/Nonconforming processes.

This role will be responsible for managing the Quality Assurance team at the Circleville, OH plant including performance evaluations and goal setting, responsible for assigned process improvements initiatives, KPI's and plant quality objectives.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and strategically improve the ISO 9001 quality management system in compliance with site and organization directives.
• Schedule and conduct internal audits as required to comply with quality management system requirements.
• Provide monthly quality performance reports and KPI.
• Use specialized Quality Engineering knowledge to coordinate and initiate new quality methods to meet current and future customer requirements, planned organization objectives, and improved production capabilities and standards.
• Ensure highest levels of customer satisfaction are maintained for customer quality and customer complaint responsiveness Review conformance of products to specifications and control limits.
• Evaluate product yields and drive improvement activities via usage of Statistical Process Control methodologies Coordinate the preparation of reports from scrap, process control plans and quality procedures.
• Recommend changes to methods, equipment and personnel to improve quality and reduce costs.
• Discuss and resolve quality concerns with other departments.
• Coordinate resources for quality control to drive metrology MSA and GRR studies.
• Work with Engineering and manufacturing to review pre and post production process variables, problem areas, required inspection tooling, and required documentation.
• Control non-conformance both externally and internally including material non-conformance.
• Initiate, implement and verify corrective actions. This includes oversight to company MRB/Nonconforming processes.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing to reduce inspection percentage while decreasing defects via quality ownership (e.g., increased operator/setup involvement) and quality prevention initiatives.

Education/Experience/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science/Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required.
• Minimum of 7 years' related experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing.
• Two plus years in managing direct reports.
• Experience using a statistical software program (e.g., Minitab, JMP) is required
• Demonstrated understanding of statistical techniques including DOE, Control Charts, MSA, Gage R&R, ANOVA is required.
• Audit experience to the requirements of ISO9001; ISO9001 lead auditor certification is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Strong leadership skills.
• MS Office, ERP systems experience, data driven individual.
