Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Quality Manager onsite to oversee quality management across three facilities in Chesterfield, MO and Troy, MI.

You will drive quality control, conduct inspections, analyze data, and implement improvements to ensure products and services meet stringent standards. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with Six Sigma, 3+ years in automotive quality management, and experience with APQP, 8D, ISO 9001/16949.

Qualifications

• .Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality/Reliability) with Six Sigma Certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of quality management experience within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma Black Belt preferred; willingness to obtain certification during employment.
• Experience and knowledge of APQP, 8D, Six Sigma, and Corrective Action tools.
• Willingness to submit to a background investigation.
• Previous experience with ISO 9001 standards.
• Previous experience with ISO/TS/IATF 16949 standards.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Strong communication and listening skills.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the quality management system per IATF 16949, AS9100, and ISO 9001.
• Ensure processes needed for the QMS are established, implemented, and maintained.
• Conduct management review meetings.
• Promote and raise awareness of the QMS throughout the organization.
• Plan and direct activities for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality standards, processes, and work instructions.
• Ensure customer needs (corrective actions, 8D, etc.) are met in a timely manner.
• Maintain a document control system to approve, review, and update all changes to critical documents within the scope of the QMS.
• Work with management to establish quality objectives and metrics.
• Review the results of internal and external audits.
• Perform FMEA, SPC, and root‑cause problem‑solving.
• Investigate customer problems and plant issues, determine root causes, and develop corrective action plans.

Job Overview

Salary Range

$95,600.00 – $153,900.00 (annual, full‑time). Salary may vary based on experience and location.
