Job summary

TE Connectivity's Mount Joy facility seeks a Quality Management Systems Specialist II to lead QMS governance, drive continuous improvement, and coordinate audits across manufacturing and supplier interfaces.

Job Title: Quality Management Systems Specialist II

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality Assurance Teams are responsible for all or part of an organization's Quality Management System, including conformance and continuous improvement initiatives. They work on systemic evaluation of products, services, facilities, manufacturing or business processes, to ensure that standards of quality are being met. Develop and implement quality plans, programs and procedures using quality control statistics, lean manufacturing concepts, and six-sigma tools and analyses. They reviews, analyze and report on quality discrepancies, investigate problems and executes quality audits, and develops disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies. The team works closely with manufacturing, engineering, customers, or suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are met.

Please note: This position may involve working with technical data, technology, software/source code, hardware or other items (collectively “items) subject to U.S. and non-U.S. export control laws and regulations. Job Requirements
  • Ensure all elements of the QMS meet or exceed the applicable ISO/AS standards and other relevant regulations which could include one or more of the following systems:
  • Manage site procedures, specifications and other controlled documents ensuring compliance with regulatory,
  • Manage the Internal Audit process and conduct audits as needed (AS9100, FAA, customer-required, etc)
  • Provide direct support external audits (e.g., ISO, AS, DLA, customer); co‑lead audits with site leadership
  • Manage and ensure closure of internal and external audit findings
  • Manage calibration coordination and out of tolerance investigations
  • Manage nonconformance disposition process and leadership of material review board
  • Manage CAPA process and leadership of Capa review board
  • Analyze quality data for the systems manage to drive continuous improvement
  • Support Management Review process, ensure compliance with requirements
  • Maintain records according to TE Corporate Records Retention Policy and customer requirements
  • Support Quality and Company objectives and goals
  • Support training and expertise in the above listed areas.
  • Performs evaluation and audits of internal controls, communications, risk assessments and maintenance of documentation.
  • Facilitates internal training on quality assurance requirements, processes, and procedures.
  • Requires capability to understand, implement, and sustain industry and governmental regulations affecting product quality.
What your background should look like
  • Associate’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management/related field, or 3+ years Quality Systems experience
  • Highly organized and able to clearly communicate requirements, and partner with stakeholders to implement and/or improve processes
  • Solid understanding of the following bodies of knowledge:
  • ISO 9001:2015
  • AS9100D Preferred
  • IPC 610, JSTD (preferred)
  • AS9100D Lead Auditor preferred
  • SAP experience required
  • Understanding of the key quality terms, definition, facts, methods, and principles
  • Ability to evaluate proposed ideas, solutions, corrections compared to specifications
  • Advanced computer experience with writing and editing documentation
  • Read and understand descriptions, reports, regulations, instructions, technical documents, etc.
  • Ability to breakdown and analyze information and recognize their relationship to one another
  • Ability to communicate complex issues and solutions to cross‑functional teams verbally and in writing

COMPENSATION

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $74,600 - 93,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
