Quality Management System Coordinator
Kress is looking for a full time Quality Management System Coordinator to join our team in the development of specialized industrial equipment for steel, construction, and mining industries.
The Quality Management System Coordinator is to be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 9001 and the effective implementation of Quality Strategies and Systems across the entire corporation.
Responsibilities
- Work with Department Directors to develop and implement processes which align with the quality vision and focus on closing strategic quality gaps
- Conduct training and communication forums to ensure effective implementation and utilization of the quality processes across the entire corporation
- Act as a role model for Quality Improvement, identifying and scoping opportunities for process improvements in the quality system and effectively presenting them for implementation at the management level
- Coordinate/lead specialized projects to effectively implement continuous improvement projects
- Develop and implement performance metrics analysis related to quality programs, processes, tools and capabilities, communicating the results to stakeholders and ensuring priorities are addressed in the Management Review
- Monitor and track continuous improvement initiatives and communicate the results on progress to stakeholders in the Management Review
- Coordinate with Department Directors to identify simple, tangible and practical quality metrics
- Facilitate investigations and steward the effective closure of system gaps as identified through internal or external audits
- Lead a team of functional Managers to steward the overall performance of the Quality Management System
- Support the external audit process and lead the resultant gap investigation and closure
- Plan and implement the annual QMS Internal Audit schedule as a tool to drive continual improvement across the entire corporation
- Conduct internal audits
- Train/coordinate additional internal auditors to conduct internal audits
Qualifications
- 2‑Year Associates Degree or equivalent experience
- ISO 9001 expertise
- 2 years' experience working with ISO 9001 systems
- Trained Quality Management System Auditor with process‑based auditing experience
- Aptitude to work with all levels within an organization
- Demonstrated conflict resolution skills
- Proven facilitation skills
- Proven investigation skills and techniques
- Ability to work independently and proactively
- Ability to focus on processes and process management
- Effective communication skills
- Proven analytical skills
- Demonstrated non‑authoritative leadership skills and a collaborative approach
