Job summary

Prattwhitney is seeking an Internal Quality Management System (QMS) Auditor for its Tucson, AZ location. This role requires U.S. citizenship and a DoD Secret security clearance.

As a QMS Auditor, you will plan and lead internal audits, manage audit teams, and serve as the liaison with certification bodies. A minimum of 8 years in the aerospace industry with relevant auditing experience is required. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Job Overview

Position: Internal Quality Management System (QMS) AuditorLocation: Tucson, AZ (Onsite)Role Type: U.S. Citizenship required; U.S. government security clearance (DoD Secret) required.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and oversee internal QMS audits across Tucson sites and other Raytheon locations.
• Lead audit teams: select team members, develop audit plans, conduct opening and closing meetings, and prepare audit reports.
• Serve as liaison to the Enterprise Audit Team and Raytheon’s Certification Body (NQA) during site certification or recertification audits.
• Facilitate enterprise audit schedules, logistics, and corrective‑action closure.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for corrective actions and ensure timely implementation.
• Travel up to 25% as required for audits.

Required Qualifications

• University degree (or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry (or 12 years in lieu of a degree). At least 6 years of QMS auditing experience within aerospace.
• Experience auditing to AS9100 standards.
• ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or equivalent certification.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Aerospace Auditor (AEA) certification.
• Lead Auditor certification.
• Experience leading audit teams and working independently.

Security Clearance
