Job summary

North American Aerodynamics is seeking a Quality Control Manager to ensure the implementation and maintenance of the QMS in line with regulatory and certification requirements. This role oversees in-process and final inspections and manages the quality system procedures.

Key duties include internal audits, training inspectors, maintaining records, and acting as the primary contact for customer audits. Strong leadership, communication, and technical reading of drawings are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating with vendors, customers, and management.
• Knowledge of statistical tools and techniques of Quality Management Systems.
• Leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.
• ISO 9000 family ISO Lead Auditor certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and approving Inspection Manuals for adequacy.
• Drafting and verifying the quality system manual against regulatory and certificated standards.
• Identifying areas of improvement.
• Planning and completing Internal Audits.
• Training Inspectors and Internal Auditors.
• Maintaining quality records databases and documents.
• Establishing and reporting quality objective criteria.
• Creating workmanship standards to address nonconformances.
• Writing corrective actions for internal and supplier nonconformances.
• Communicating customer corrective actions to Upper Management.
• Overseeing nonconformance reporting processes.
• Participating in reviews of design, manufacturing, purchasing and test docs for conformance.
• Serving as main contact for customer audits.
• Implementing and monitoring document control procedures.
• Leading Quality Management Review Meetings.
• Chartering MRB or QIT for adverse quality impacts.
