Job summary

The Cleveland Clinic Women & Children's Institute seeks a physician leader to serve as Quality Officer for the Pediatric Hematology Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplantation Division. You will drive quality, safety, and patient outcomes across the division, partnering with clinical and enterprise teams.

The role requires board-certified pediatric hematology-oncology, post-fellowship experience, and a strong record in quality improvement, leadership, and collaboration, with an academic appointment

Qualifications

• MD or DO, board certified in Pediatric Hematology Oncology.
• Minimum of 3 years of post-fellowship clinical practice experience.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and driving quality improvement initiatives.
• Experience designing, implementing, and sustaining quality, safety, or performance improvement programs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of high reliability principles, patient safety science, quality improvement methodologies, and regulatory standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and change management skills.
• Faculty appointment at Lerner College of Medicine is expected; research interests in pediatric oncology.

Responsibilities

• Provide physician leadership for all Pediatric Hematology Oncology quality initiatives.
• Lead continuous improvement across clinical, patient safety and experience domains.
• Partner with Nursing, Operations, Infection Prevention, Regulatory Affairs, Quality and Patient Safety, and CI teams for coordinated goals.
• Promote data analytics, dashboards, benchmarking, and evidence-based practices to drive improvement.
• Foster accountability, transparency, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a champion for patient- and family-centered care across the PHO Division.
