Job summary

McConway & Torley, part of Ferroworks group in Pittsburgh, is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead the QA/inspection team. The role involves coaching staff, ensuring conformance with standards, and collaborating with Manufacturing Operations to maintain efficiency.

You will supervise basic quality control testing of standard parts and support safe, accurate work, with a 5am–2pm shift and potential overtime. A Bachelor’s in Engineering and prior leadership in a manufacturing setting are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of QA or inspection experience in manufacturing
• 2+ years of direct or indirect supervisory experience

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor a quality team
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations to maintain efficiency
• Work with production to solve problems
• Make safe, decisive decisions and coordinate with other departments
• Identify changes to checklists and documents
• Train QA inspectors in the department
• Hands-on inspections and cover shifts as needed
• Pursue MPI or other certifications as needed
• Maintain schedules for hourly inspection workforce
