Job summary

IDEX Corporation seeks a Quality Lead to guide the PPE night shift quality team in a manufacturing setting. You will drive continuous improvement, coach inspectors, and ensure ISO and customer requirements are met on the shop floor.

Ideal candidates bring leadership, hands-on quality assurance experience, and proven ability to lead root-cause investigations and implement corrective actions to reduce scrap and improve overall product quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the quality team through training, coaching, and mentoring to ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures.
• Drive employee engagement and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Supports activity to ensure shifts are well staffed to cover planned PTOs.
• Represents Quality Department in shop floor Daily Management to communicate quality metric and issues as we all take actions necessary to maintain quality.
• Reviews daily scrap fallout of responsible areas and MRB held parts and dispositions.
• Participates in problem solving processes with cross functional team to find root cause for internal and external nonconformances and help team formulate preventative and corrective action

Job Summary/Purpose

The Quality Lead will be an individual with experience in Quality in a manufacturing environment. The key purpose of this role is to lead and support the quality employees on PPE's night shift (8:30P-7:00A) to support quality activities for production as well as help in the process of quality issue resolution. Via active involvement in various management practices (e.g. Daily Management, Material Review Board, Audit processes) compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements, and problem-solving sessions, this role can significantly help support the PPE scrap reduction initiatives and support quality supervisor and manager on more strategic focus. The position emphasizes continuous improvement, cross-functional collaboration, and results-oriented leadership to achieve business objectives. This role is an individual contributor role.

Essential Duties

• Checks status of Hot Jobs and manage Quality Inspectors work priority
• Supports activity to ensure shifts are well staffed to cover planned PTOs

• Reviews daily scrap fallout of responsible areas and M.R.B (Material Review Board) held parts and dispositions.
