Fortune Brands Innovations is seeking a Quality Lead to plan, implement, and lead quality auditing and testing. This hands-on role requires strong knowledge of Fiberon Quality Systems and effective interpersonal communication to influence teams.

The person will drive continuous improvements through disciplined audits and standard work. Responsibilities include training Quality Auditor teams, enforcing quality standards, and coordinating MRB processes.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience in Quality Auditor/Quality Technician role or equivalent.
  • Experience applying quality requirements and standards for manufacturing products.
  • Ability to train and lead QA Auditor/Technician teams.

  • Assist Quality Supervisor in training and identifying training potentials for Quality Auditor team & Quality Checks.
  • Apply and assist auditing and enforcing quality requirements and standards for manufacturing products.
  • Investigate held material and assist disposition with MRB logs and review meetings.
  • Liaise with Manufacturing trainer to identify training needs based on quality issues.
  • Update work instructions and documents to maintain Quality System.

Quality Lead

Reports to: Quality Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

Location: Meridian, ID

Job Status: Full Time

Job Summary

Plan, implement, and lead all aspects of Quality auditing and testing. This is a hands on-role requiring Fiberon Quality Systems knowledge and interpersonal communication skills to lead by influence. The employee will need to maintain systems and drive continuous improvements through disciplined audits and standard work as well as identifying new areas for improvement.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist Quality Supervisor in training and identifying training potentials for Quality Auditor team & Quality Checks.
  • Apply and assist auditing and enforcing quality requirements and standards for manufacturing products
  • Investigate held material and assist material owners to identify resources to disposition material including maintaining MRB log and scheduling review meetings.
  • Liaison with Fiberon Manufacturing trainer to identify training needs and improvement opportunities based on Quality spills and reoccurring concerns.
  • Update work instructions, forms and other documents to maintain the Quality System and drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as training resource and expert for Fiberon auditing and QA Tech team.
  • Assist documentation and issue tracking for activities including layered process audits, gemba walks and start-up or shut-down checklist reviews.

Support coverage requirements for auditing as required. Liaison with sourcing team to provide feedback on raw materials issues and new vendors.

Education/Experience
  • At least 1 year experience in Quality Auditor and/or Quality Technician role or equivalent.
