Job summary

Fortune Brands Innovations in Idaho is seeking a hands-on Quality Auditor/Technician to plan, implement, and lead quality audits, drive continuous improvement, and maintain the quality system through standard work and disciplined audits.

You will train the Quality Auditor team, enforce quality standards for manufacturing, investigate material issues, coordinate MRB activities, and work with cross-functional partners to resolve defects and prevent recurrence.

• Update work instructions and forms to maintain the Quality System.
• Support audits, start-up/shut-down checklists, and record-keeping.

Job description

Plan, implement, and lead all aspects of Quality auditing and testing. This is a hands on-role requiring Fiberon Quality Systems knowledge and interpersonal communication skills to lead by influence. The employee will need to maintain systems and drive continuous improvements through disciplined audits and standard work as well as identifying new areas for improvement.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

• Assist Quality Supervisor in training and identifying training potentials for Quality Auditor team & Quality Checks.
• Apply and assist auditing and enforcing quality requirements and standards for manufacturing products
• Investigate held material and assist material owners to identify resources to disposition material including maintaining MRB log and scheduling review meetings.
• Liaison with Fiberon Manufacturing trainer to identify training needs and improvement opportunities based on Quality spills and reoccurring concerns.
• Update work instructions, forms and other documents to maintain the Quality System and drive continuous improvement.
• Act as training resource and expert for Fiberon auditing and QA Tech team.
• Assist documentation and issue tracking for activities including layered process audits, gemba walks and start-up or shut-down checklist reviews.

Support coverage requirements for auditing as required. Liaison with sourcing team to provide feedback on raw materials issues and new vendors.

Education/Experience:

• At least 1 year experience in Quality Auditor and/or Quality Technician role or equivalent.
