Job summary

MPI Label Systems is seeking a Quality Control Operator to manage high-speed inspection and finishing processes, ensuring zero-defect labels are produced. The role emphasizes setup, monitoring, and repair of the Slitter/Rewinder and precise counting and packaging of finished products.

Ideal candidates will have strong quality inspection experience, troubleshooting ability, and solid manufacturing background with binding experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for production lines.
• Excellent communication skills across shifts and teams.
• Experience with binding processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor the Slitter/Rewinder per job specs.
• Perform rework and precise splice repairs on AVT-detected defects.
• Finish: slit into finished rolls with correct edges and core alignment.
• Count and package finished labels to exact length, diameter, and core size.
• Read and interpret job tickets and quality documents to ensure product compliance.
• Accurately record run time, waste, finished count, and quality notes.
• Identify non-conforming product and notify supervisor for disposition.
