Job Summary:

Performs all aspects of Quality Control testing, sampling, data entry, and associated paperwork related to final product release and support of technology departments. Leads quality improvement efforts; develops and documents procedures and methods as necessary. Serves as Trainer/SME for all lab tasks and as back-up/designee for routine Quality Manager tasks. Performs support activities such as ordering/receiving supplies, helping to maintain satellite labs, attends BBS Steering Team and Joint Health and Safety Committee as QC Lab representative.

Rotating Shift – 10 hrs, 6am – 4pm/6pm – 4am. 5-week rotation

Responsibilities include:

  1. Quality Control – 40%
  • Conduct quality control testing for product certification following current test procedures for all products.
  • Maintain knowledge of all Arkema test procedures.
  • Perform maintenance, calibration, and verification of all QC equipment.
  • Enter quality control data and release final products according to approved specifications.
  • Print and inventory all labels in line with weekly production schedules.
  • Maintain documentation and records as required by all relevant Quality Systems.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and standards for accurate analytical results.
  • Quality Assurance – 30%
    • Serve as liaison to other departments on quality topics.
    • Ensure compliance with all plant quality policies and safety requirements.
    • Assist in investigations of quality-related incidents.
    • Perform shift quality assurance tasks, including batch sheet reviews and audits.
  • Safety – 20%
    • Maintain a safe work environment in the lab.
    • Support site HESQ policies and comply with all regulatory and internal requirements.
    • Participate in HES activities like Behavioral Base Safety and SafeStart.
    • Engage in quality improvement and continual learning programs.
    • Support technology departments in data trending and troubleshooting quality issues.

    Qualifications include:

    • At least 1 year experience in an analytical chemistry lab is preferred.
    • Associates degree in science or related field.
    • Experience with titration and wet chemistry preferred.
    • Knowledge of Chemstation Software, Agilent GCs, and LCs preferred.
    • Good organizational and communication skills.
    • Basic troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to multitask and work independently while managing priorities.
