Job summary

Socket.dev is hiring a Quality Control Technician in New Jersey to assure product quality by preparing samples, inspecting components, and testing dispersions and finished goods. You will calibrate equipment, document results, and communicate batch adjustments to the QC Manager.

1–3 years in quality control is preferred; a HS diploma or higher is common. Salary is supported by a comprehensive benefits package after 30 days, including medical, dental, life, disability, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of production/manufacturing/quality control experience preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus.
• Background in physical sciences and algebra.
• Ability to read and enter data accurately across tests.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and MS Office; SAP experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing of production batches, incoming materials, finished goods, and components.
• Judge fit-for-release status for batches and materials that meet specifications.
• Determine and communicate batch adjustments for non-conforming items.
• Conduct validation testing during filling to ensure integrity of finished goods.
• Communicate inspection status and issues to QC Manager.
• Document inspection results.
