Job summary

Roseburg Forest Products is seeking a QA Lab technician at our El Dorado, AR facility. The role centers on performing testing and analysis to meet product standards and to help standardize procedures for a more efficient and accurate lab environment.

The candidate will test materials, communicate results to plant teams, and assist with mill clean-up and safety meetings while adhering to QA protocols and company safety rules.

Qualifications

• Pass annual QA lab exams or tests as required by lab protocols
• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend product specifications and follow testing procedures
• High level of accuracy in performing qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to understand basic algebra and apply it to data
• Familiarity with Excel, Access, and Word for data collection and reporting
• Adherence to prescribed safety procedures and plant rules

Responsibilities

• Test materials and products for properties (strength, chemical, dimensions)
• Coordinate with plant areas to collect samples or report results
• Run checks on glue/resin samples as needed
• Maintain lab and prep areas; assist with mill cleaning
• Understand product grade requirements and defects
• Attend safety and crew meetings; follow safety protocols
• Perform other duties as assigned; model company values
