Job summary

Laboratory Technicians analyze and evaluate product samples from the lime facilities for quality control and quality assurance. They pick up samples from production facilities and deliver them to the main laboratory for testing.

They perform a variety of tests on samples and communicate issues to production personnel or the Laboratory Supervisor. The role includes updating the Laboratory Information Management System and weekly calibration checks, with further duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2 years’ experience as a Laboratory Technician preferred.
• Shift work including evenings, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Picks up samples from production facilities and delivers them to the main laboratory for testing.
• Performs tests on samples to assure quality control and quality assurance.
• Communicate to production personnel or Laboratory Supervisor any issues with samples/analytical results so those issues can be rectified.
• Update the Laboratory Information Management System with test results.
• Performs weekly calibration checks on certain laboratory and process equipment.
• Assist Laboratory personnel in the maintenance and repair of certain laboratory instruments.
• Employees are expected to perform other responsibilities as needed.
