Job summary

Abbott Park site seeks a Quality Technician in the Transfusion Medicine Division to perform bioanalytical and platform quality testing, investigate non-conformances, and support continuous improvement in a laboratory with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or closely related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Word skills and basic computer proficiency.
• Knowledge of platform lab systems (Alinity s and/or ARCHITECT) or biochemistry/chemistry testing.
• Understanding of GMP and GLP.
• Ability to work independently in a high-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality testing using WWLIMS, QIMS, and SAP to verify product conformance.
• Investigate out-of-tolerance and out-of-spec results; support CAPA investigations and complaint handling.
• Identify and elevate non-conformances to quality professionals; redline documents and procedures.
• Maintain sample and document storage systems; participate in process improvement and lab safety initiatives.
• Track and trend testing data; communicate findings with product technical support and quality team.
