Job summary

ManpowerGroup is assisting a leading manufacturer in Garden Grove, CA to hire a Chemical Laboratory Technician for the Quality Assurance lab. You will support laboratory operations, perform tests, and compile test reports.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least two years in chemical labs, and experience with UV-Vis and atomic absorption equipment. The role offers a 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. shift and a pay range of $18-$22 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in chemical processing laboratories.
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment such as UV-Vis Spectrophotometers and atomic absorption analyzers.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and proper handling of laboratory glassware and chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create monthly lab orders for physical testing and prepare metal specimens for testing.
• Track both physical and analytical tests to ensure timely completion within required time frames.
• Perform a variety of tests including corrosion testing, paint adhesion, impact tests, and elemental analysis.
• Compile detailed test reports outlining procedures and results of internal tests.
• Maintain accurate records, review logs for correctness, and monitor process tank temperatures to ensure compliance with specifications.
